The basic design of 330000 ton bauxite special ore ship of Shanghai Shipyard has obtained CCS AIP ce

       On the afternoon of December 3, at the 2019 China International Maritime Exhibition, the basic design of 330000 ton bauxite special ore carrier of Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute of China Shipping Group Co., Ltd. obtained the AIP certification issued by China Classification Society (CCS). According to the operation requirements of the special route of bauxite ore of COSCO Shipping Group and its accurate judgment on the future development of shipping market, the ship type is a special ore ship tailored for shipowners. The ship type also takes into account the freight demand of Brazilian iron ore. The relevant design scheme integrates the expert experience and original opinions of COSCO Shipping on ore transportation. The ship type is expected to achieve zero breakthrough in the construction of African bauxite professional transport ship for mineral sand, with outstanding economic and social benefits.

The R & D team of Shanghai Shipyard has also analyzed the influence of bauxite shipment on the form and capacity of the cargo hold after analyzing the route and economy, optimizing the main dimensions of the ship, optimizing the main engine and other equipment, and finally determined the final plan based on the cooperation of the transfer facilities. The ship adopts the patented technology of Shanghai Shipyard, vertical bow, which effectively improves the seaworthiness and rapidity; combined with efficient propeller and energy-saving device, the energy consumption is further reduced, and the daily oil consumption is as low as 60.5 tons. The ship model test, structural design and finite element analysis show that the ship's load, speed, fuel consumption and other performance indicators are up to the international level.

The shipyard participated in the whole process of the design of COSCO Guinea Port transfer fleet and the research and development of the 330000 ton professional ore ship type, providing technical support for COSCO Shipping Group to implement national strategy and expand international business.
