New Aeronautical Material Docking Project from Light Alloy Research Institute of Central South Unive

         Recently, an expert professor from the Institute of Light Alloy Research of Central South University came to Chenglingji New Port Area to inspect and discuss the new material project of docking aviation. At the meeting, the relevant director of the Light Alloy Research Institute of Central South University introduced the project situation. Both sides carefully communicated and exchanged on the pre-project docking and the next step of the project, and further implemented the project deployment in detail. Both sides were confident of the project development prospects.

Wang Wenhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party and Labor Committee and director of the Management Committee of Xingang District, warmly welcomed the project's arrival in the new port area. He said that the project has sufficient science and technology content, good prospects for development, wide application fields and high future benefits. The advantages of the new port area are obvious, and the advantages of the Central South University are many. Both sides carry out strategic cooperation and hope to speed up the project process and make more progress in the future. Focusing on the same direction, we should work closely and further implement the docking, strengthen demonstration, come up with specific plans, arrange timetables and road maps, and reverse the time according to the established goals, so as to make sure that a task is carried out and landed.

It is understood that the industrialization project of manufacturing super-large aluminium alloy materials/components for aerospace mainly relies on Zhong Diao, academician of Light Alloy Research Institute of Central South University, whose team has made a number of breakthroughs in the aluminium processing industry and has the international leading level. At present, small-scale production is being carried out in the campus of Central South University to provide transition rings for heavy launch vehicle tanks and super-large thin-walled components for aerospace and other units. The total investment of this project is 6.5 billion yuan. The first phase of the project invests 2 billion yuan. It mainly constructs high-performance aluminium alloy casting production line, high-performance aluminium alloy bearing component production line, high-performance aluminium alloy sheet/strip production line, large-scale aluminium alloy thin-walled parts production line, high-performance aluminium alloy ring/cylinder production line and product testing and analysis center. After the project is put into operation, the production capacity of aluminium alloy castings and components can reach 200,000 tons, with an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan and an annual tax of more than 1 billion yuan.
