Jordan to terminate the safeguard measures for imported aluminum bars, rods and profiles

         On October 29, 2019, the WTO Safeguard Measures Committee issued the safeguard measures notification submitted by the Jordanian delegation to it on October 28. The Jordanian Council of ministers decided to terminate the safeguard measures for imported aluminum bars, rods and profiles. This case concerns products under tax number 7604.

On July 24, 2016, Jordan launched a case investigation on Safeguard Measures for imported aluminum bars, rods and profiles. On September 13, 2019, Jordan made the first sunset review of safeguard measures for the products involved in the import case.
