Northwest Aluminum provides Nanchang ship with high precision aluminum forging products

       On January 12, 2020, Nanchang, the first destroyer of the navy of the people's Liberation Army, was listed, marking the realization of the leap from the third generation to the fourth generation. As the first destroyer of the 0.55 million ton destroyer, Nanchang destroyer has successively broken through a series of key technologies such as the overall design, information integration, general assembly and construction of large-scale ships. It is equipped with new air defense, anti missile, anti-ship and anti submarine weapons, with strong information perception, air defense, anti missile and sea attack capabilities, and will play the role of "bodyguard" of China's aircraft carrier fleet. Northwest Aluminum provides high-precision and high-quality aluminum forgings for the "underwater eye" submarine sonar system of Nanchang ship.

Forging process is conducive to the process optimization of the product, can improve its organizational structure, has the characteristics of fine grains and uniform size, reduces the deformation resistance after hot processing, improves the plastic and mechanical properties of the metal, and has good corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and non-magnetic properties, which can meet the needs of special products. In order to meet the needs of precision forging production, Northwest Aluminum has introduced 8MN forging press, which is closely coordinated by R & D and production departments and linked up and down. From die design, product trial production, process improvement to the formation of mass production, it has provided two specifications of nearly 5000 aluminum forging products for CSIC.
