Vedanta plans to invest 100 billion rupees to boost aluminium production

              Mr Navin Agarwal, chairman of Vedanta, said the company planned to spend 550 billion rupees on capital in three years, including 250 billion rupees for zinc business, 200 billion rupees for oil and gas, and another 100 billion rupees for aluminum industry.

After the investment is completed, it is expected that the company's business income will increase by 60-70% and its output will increase by more than 50%.

In fiscal year 2019, Vedanta spent 100 billion rupees on capital expenditure.

At present, Vedanta is the largest aluminium producer in India. After the completion of this investment, the company's aluminium production will rise to 3 million tons, further impacting the top position of zinc in the world and the top three position of white banking in the world.
